    i personally would rather play a balanced competitive game than a game where everyone stacks one team to win every round and have fun that way. Yes when we tested it was more to clan matches however we tested in a public fasion - so it did still does work. As many others said if you dont like the game - then quit dont come for attention on the forums <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    As I have said in the first post I don’t play the game(any more) but it is not about that and yes I don’t like 2.0. I started this post with the intentions to inform the ns team what me and a lot of other people think of NS 2.0 and why we don’t like it. I did not start it to start war and I don’t need to be reminded that if I don’t like it I should no play it because that’s right I DON’T PLAY IT any more.
    But I think I am wasting my time you obviously wont war an I just wonted FLAY and the team to think about what I have said.

    Most game makers won’t feedback about a game they have made how else are you going to make it better.

    I might as well interject my opinion here:

    I find 2.01d&e to be just as fun as 1.0x. I didn't really play 1.0x very much, but I play 2.0e a few hours every day and have to say it is by far the best game (not just mod, game) I have ever played.

    I have a ball pubbing on my favorite servers, moreso than any game since CS way back in the day. I will support NS whichever way the game gets tweak, an look forward to seeing how the game evolves in the future. So long as the NS team doesn't allow themselves to get bought out by valve (and hence make us pay for it) I don't see anything on the horizon that will stop me from playing NS.


    One other comment: I don't see what the problem with turrets is in 2.01e. Turrets and defense chambers are both pretty uneffective with a coordinated effort by the opposing team to destroy them, even early game.

    OK. I'm listening.

    But to be honest all you've said is that you don't think it's "fun".

    You did expand by saying that comebacks are much harder in 2.0, but that isn't the fault of the game. <b>That's the fault of the players</b>. People have learnt how to play NS, so of course people play a more effective defensive game. Not all the tactics feel as fresh and new as they used to, although there is more tactical variety in the game.

    With regards to "what a lot of other people think", we'd like to see a link to a forum or similar, so we can read the opinion of these people.

    Otherwise I'm not sure what you are asking us to do. We don't have a magic bag of fun that we sprinkle onto NS occasionally to make it better. We need useful feedback. Not opinions, not ideas. Just feedback.

    Examples of useful feedback:

    I find that electricity doesn't seem to keep aliens at bay long enough.

    The LMG flash makes it hard for me to see Kharaa.

    I find the Lerk hard to control, could you alter the flight model?


    Example of unhelpful feedback:

    The game needs a burst fire selector for guns. (We make the game, if you want, post suggestions in S & I)

    The new maps stink (this tells us nothing, except that the poster does not like the new maps.)

    Fade is over-powered (Great, any reasoning why? Or do you just really blow at computer games?)

    No you didn't. You said "it's no fun", but didn't give one example of what wasn't fun about the game any more. "I don't like the new Onos because blah blah...", "Games last too long now..." are examples of an opinion you could have stated. But didn't. I suggest a mod lock this thread, it's going nowhere.
