<div class="IPBDescription">Error.</div> I was hoping I would be able to fix this by getting rid of a lot of textures, but this sadly isn't the case is it? How would I go about ixing it. I've probably scaled my wad file down to 1 meg :S

MAX_MAP_MIPTEX refers to the textures used in your map. Scaling down your wad file would have no effect on that error if all you deleted were unused textures.
To fix this, replace textures in your map. You can view your texture usuage after the BSP executable finishes. It displays your texture usage out of however much space you specified (4mb by default).
If this doesn't work, increase your texture limit size. I had to do that, but not by much. Only by 400k, but still.
From my experience i`m pretty sure that hammer reports the texture usage to be incorrect, the limit is meant to be 4mb ( with zoner tools ) 2mb with the old default Q tools, but the editor will report 4mb usage as being 8mb, its best not to compile and change the limit, just replace unused textures which you may of put on but changed after, the texture will still remain on other sides of the brushs. Thats all i can suggest, also try not to use the largest textures, 256 or above, 512 textures work but you get warning messages on the compile basically means old gfx cards will suffer
