Lets keep these forums alive, FOREVER.
I'm gonna say it: I love you guys. I spend so much time on these forums, talking with people that are obviously intelligent, and some who aren't, but most are fun to talk with anyway. My idea, is that someone gets a domain name that we can all remember. Maybe "www.hovaringscorpian.com" or something like that, and we keep these forums alive forever. The same forums, down to even the look, just so that we can all stay as a group, helping eachother, talking about games, and our lives. Because these forums don't get boring...heh.
Anyone else think it'd be great to keep our group going forever?

YAAAAAY!
Okay.
And you know hovaringscorpians.com sounds kickass. Oh ya, too sexy for the shirt.
But with HL2's release on the horizon, we can't confirm that it'll survive much longer.
Yeah and that damn thing still wont go under
I got steam working, i played CS and aint played it in probably over a year now. it hasnt changed. The maps are still the same terrible ones, there are new ones but there still crap. quality wise as in detail and textures, i mean its still all flat walls and crates. I only played for 15mins and ppl were hurling abuse at each other. Classic "SUYF" (lol, that should be S start TF middle and U end ) and everyone calling each other cheat cos there good. although a new thing came in which was just u cant cheat with steam. the only entertaining thing was the name of the guns now, i think there the names that were in retail or somin all fake names. that was in 15mins, rather dull really so i left.
Id been tryin to get CS for ages. so i dled the CS+steam thing from http://www.pcgameworld.com/ (no waits no signing up) and it ran straight off after i uninstalled the old one and deleted registry stuff. I got no errors in it at all so far.
My solution of how to deal with this: ask for the IM names of the people you hope to keep in touch with, or make a ns-forum mirc maybe, that might stick around longer. . . ?
You could always start over with a new forum board. . . you'll always miss the people at the last one, but meeting new people can be really fun. If you find a new forum you could always ask a few people you are friends with here to check that one out as well.
Example of a happy story: I played on one server for 9 months (fresh noob, to an almost decent player) . . . long time in NS time, great server, great friends, things weren't working out, it was very upsetting but I found a new server. Not only did I meet a lot of awesome people, they gave me admin there, and I met a few celebs (including my favorite map mapmaker ). Good things can always come from the bad. . . if you look hard enough. Chin up, be strong, and goodluck!
Doubtful.
I still play Quake and Quake 2 mods quite frequently, and they're how many years old now? Their communities are alive and kickin' too. Trust me, Half-Life is not going anywhere just because the sequel came out.
