Ogg Files

Okay, so I just downloaded 40 mB worth of music with the .ogg extension. I really would like to play them, but I just can't. I have winamp 2.9 (which should work) and media player 9.

Anyone know how I can get these files to play.

Actually, if I could get a program that would allow me to convert these files to redbook, so I could burn on cd, that would be even better.

Oh yeah, these songs are not pirated, so don't worry, they are legit.

Or you could download CDex and convert the ogg files to MP3

yeah, I've been using it for about a year and I still haven't unravelled all of its functionality. Its the least bloated most functional piece of software I've ever seen. It's memory footprint is half the size of winamp's and it can do thousands more things.

Bah. That defeats the entire purpose of using the Vorbis codec.

Since almost every player out there either has builtin support for it, like WinAmp, or has plugins available, like WMP, there's no reason not to use the native format.
