    Going just by looks, I like the Mitsubishi the best.

    Unless you actually NEED an SUV (say terrain driving or things like that), go with a smaller car. They use less gas, and if you hit a pedestrian they actually have a chance of survival. If you need lots of room, buy a stationcar.

    Yeah unless you actually want it for offroad driving, don't get one. They suck up gas like schoolgirls on prom night and they handle pathetically. Stick with a standard car if you just want a vehicle for suberban/city driving.

    I live in a country that has huge craters (potholes).

    It takes our local government years to fix them.

    I don't think I have much of a choice. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I just wanted to *bump* this before going to bed, so people from other time zones can get their opinions in. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Get a Ford Escape.

    1. Highest saftey rating.
    2. Excellent gas mileage.
    3. I own stock.

    Yep. I drive an Escape. The only thing I don't like about it (meaning I like everything else <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> ) is the oil filter location. I get covered with 5W-20 everytime I do an oil change <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    And I'd put the Michigan Distemperate Climate caused Pothole Epidemic up against anything you've got <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Craters? Get a Hummer.

    I second the hummer <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    SUV's are cool; they roll over on command. (that would be a joke. You know, suv's, high center of gravity, rolling over..... *sigh* nevermind)

    I'm also with the don't-get-an-SUV crowd, but having massive potholes is definitely a better excuse than being a soccer mom with a power complex <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> my next car's gonna be a hybrid... unless they come out with fuel cells by then :> y'all realize this planet's gonna be out of petrol in our lifetimes, right? <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Personally, I had a pathfinder for a few years, and I <i>loved</i> it.

    At least give it the once over.

    The Ford Escape is a good SUV and all, but its a little too small for me.

    I'm pretty big for an asian kid <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    My friend has a Trooper and I like it.

    Even though I've never driven it, I like riding in it... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
