Hl2 Not A Global Release?

I asketh unto them "Ye minion, reveal to me when I shall recieve the holy relic of HL2". And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth as I was told it would not be out until after Christmas. After calling down unholy fire upon the store and everyone in it, I departed.

I live in Australia. As far as I can see from the various sites and such HL2 is still slated for a release on 30th September. Does this mean that the US will recieve HL2 months before the rest of the world? If so I'm going to be more than a little annoyed.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

    i havent heard anything about this, but i shall join you in calling down some holy fire upon vivendi HQ if it is true. two of my mates have ordered it online from the UK and they seem to be quite happy they are getting it on the 30th. maybe you should try that.

    I don't want to buy HL2 in french. So even if I can get it at end of month, I'll try to wait that I go to London to get it. Probably this Xmas...

    Uk gets it at the end of the month , US has always got stuff beofre the rest of the world , cause there bigger so more £££ , seems that valve are smarter than that and chances are will ship it world wide at the same time.

    EDIT: Checking around cant find any dates for the Australian date for HL2 , pritty much every UK/US site says the 30th.

    I did the same Ryo, and the comp store bloke said the release date HAD been for sept 30th, however they had now changed the release date to unknown.

    What store where you at btw? What suburb? Mine was at EB Indro

    OMG that was the same store! The manager told me he wasn't expecting it before Christmas. Now I don't know how much of that is BS and how much is true but it got me worried.
