The only thing I don't like is the whole monotone green thing, you need some red or yellow lighting in there.
I dont see how this looks like shaft.. shaft has tanish walls with yellow and orange lights.

Without a doubt, you are probably the most creative mapper I have ever seen, with some incredible brushwork.
Now if you could only <b>finish</b> these maps, I think you would be the most talented HL mapper I have ever known. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
Throw in those lights here, and it'll be exactly the same.
Ekaj, it looks great (minus the evil neon lighting), but as I look at this, if I picture it with the light color from Shaft, it looks like it belongs there, not in another map. :-\
Also ChromeAngels point of the architecture being ‘impractical’ is something to consider, that was one of my main concerns with Shaft. Sure it looks great but does it work, is it functional for gameplay, easy to navigate etc
you will probably need to change more than just lighting colours to get away from looking like ns_shaft (if thats what you were trying to do to distinguish them.)

ABOUT lights...could be a bit boring,i think like this is ok,just now stop to lighten areas like this and change colours.
THE SAD NOTE: like Kfs,Manah and other wrote,this map is really near to Shaft...u can merge this with shaft,or make just this area with this lightning/brushwork/texturing.
Shaft is amazing,i have in my shots collection practically all ur shaft shots seen in the forums or in the site,but i don't remember very lived areas, i mean rooms infested and half-destroyed like 4eg in SSNothing.
About the gameplay...i dunno everything,this is to discuss after a playtest.i think that shaft is playtesting...so keep in great consideration the feedback. would be a bit sad that shaft destiny will be "the pearl map of NS but just 4 beautyness"...seems that all the mods have a map just for beauty...CHANGE THIS FATE, i believe in you Ekaj!
