[wip] Fade Claws

<div class="IPBDescription"> - the ones that are green</div> ok, due to the 1.04 -> 2.0 conversion of the v_lvl4.mdl change... i'm having to re-make them...

this is a pain in the, well, you know where.


here's a pic of my progress... i will continue to test and correct this model until it becomes released in a 2.0 compatable version. (unless daphisto wants to do it himself)

and then i'll go back for the black ones.

here's my current progress... and yes, i know it's junk, but i'm trying to get the bone assignments right...

    Forgive my ignorance but is it not just a simple matter of cranking open the MDL and just reskinning the claws?



    Bearing in mind I have on my desktop a Fade Claw + Acid Spitter that's 100% finished and uses the 1.04 daphisto v_weapons....

    I mean if you can wait a day until someone posts up a stomp animation for me in my anim request thread, then you'll have the Fade v_weapon already done and only in need of a reskin.



    Yarr, thats right, the only thing holding back the alien v_weapons that match the models are the lack of one animation (and sp@zmong's gorgey reskin)...

    time to fix the ignorange...


    in 1.04... you had 2 files, the acid spitter part, and the claws...

    in 2.0... they fixed this, it's all one file now...

    how are you going to change skins on something that's a different model?
    -=] Claws Verses Hands.... two different models, not just the skin.

    i'm pretty sure you can't just toss them in there, and hope that 2.0 will act like 1.04...

    which is why you have to re-assign the bone assignments, or the animations... whichever you chose... 1.04 and 2.0 files use 100% different bones... so it's not an easy port over from 1.04.

    Is it a different model? It looks like a green reskin of the claws_t2k file - which was the basis of my fade v_weapon.... and needed no reassignments at all.

    Sorry if I got the wrong end of the stick on that.

    I dunno about Delarosa's, but mine are done.

    And I'm just waiting on a gorge v weapon reskin and a stomp animation for the Onos v weapon I made.
