Amateur Tournament

<div class="IPBDescription">For those in North America</div> I'd like to announce that [nc] No Chumps will be holding an amateur tournament sometime within the next month, and we want to see what kind of tournout we will have. Here's the deal.

o All matches will be held on our server (info in sig).
o We are looking for 8 teams, and it will be single elimination.
o This may end up being a monthly deal, for some of the lesser known clans to gain some skill and confidence. We are looking for lesser-known clans, the ones NOT competing in CAL, and no vet clans please. Also, any 6-man teams are welcome as well, so if you have 6 friends and want to play, come sign up!
o The winner will get recognition on our server, most likely in the MOTD, possibly elsewhere as well.
o Please visit <a href='http://www.nochumps.com' target='_blank'>our site</a> and let us know if you're interested. Our forums will have a tournament-specific forum by the end of the day (wednesday, sept 10). You can also drop by our IRC channel #[nc] and leave your contact info there.

We'd like to use this as a way for unrecognized clans to get to know each other and have some fun, and to get their pwn on. Please, come and sign up!

Someone mentioned teams of people that just stick a tag on to play. These people are more than welcome to join us as well. Just follow the same criteria as a clan would. (the post above)

Also, in such a case as teams, all players will be recoginized, not just the 'clan'.

comon guys, we have 2 teams so far, [nc] and a team from Tactical Gamers server. We need more people for this to happen!

You don't have anyone cause nobody wants to be called amateur. Thats like the shame of asking for a handicap in a scrim.

bah, no one wants to be called amateur. Well, I'm basically saying no Vet clans please. PT clans are okay, but these are for lesser-known teams/clans, or for clans that might not want to go against ReD, ue or #cri. Is it a little more clear? What you are saying is that no one on the street wants a pickup basketball tourney because everyone wants to consider themselves in the NBA. I'm lesser-known teams, they may be good, but they're not getting the recognition.

Tourney is this saturday, october 4th, at noon PST. Teams so far include No Chumps, Tactical Rage, Agave Loco, and Covert Oral. We have tenative slots from TrailBlazers and .wur. (or whoever they are now). I'm still looking for 2 more teams, as I'd like this to be an 8-team tournament. It can be clans, it can be teams, just let me know. My contact info is all over this thread.
