Alien range of view when clinging

how much will this be? will there be a button for the alien to watch down, no matter how he clings (diagonal). This would increase the ease of aiming where to fall. I imagine a team of aliens hanging from the ceiling, ambushing and all missing the marines... that would make a figure.

See, the trick with wall climbing is that you may be moving along the wall/ceiling, but your perspective -never- changes. Sooo.. Bob will think he's standing on his head. The model will still change though. And since in HL you can look in all directions, including down, you'll be able to look down just normally.

We've discussed this before, but here goes.  When the crawler clings to the wall or the ceiling, his view will not reorient itself.  This means, he'll have the same view when he's on the ceiling as if he were standing on some invisible platform just below the ceiling.  The alien can look down on the floor, and he'll have the same view as normal.

-Edit-  Does Moleculor ever go to sleep?

Wow that is so extremely much better than avp2.
even if its a little less unrealistic..
unless you'd like to make up an explanation like, the aliens eyes arent actually attatched to its brain in anyway, and therye also a bit lop-sided so that when the alien goes upside down his eyes roll around and fall upside-down effectively keeping his view the same as it was on the floor  <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
still i think that will be very good i always missed when jumping off walls/roofs in avp2 ;\

    hmmmmmm
I hope it's gonna be that way, now just hoep that you'll just have to run up a wall to climb it and you don't have to push soem button like in avp.

I personally hope you do have to press a button (or crouch) to keep it from making you run up walls when you have no intent to

then i hope it's some sort of mode-toggle. Liek you press it once your in wall-climbing mode, that way you don't have to push that button all the time

As the level 1 alien can't crouch, the crouch key allows the alien to stick to walls. Otherwise, he runs around as normal.

OK, that's cool.  Nice way to make use of a key that otherwise wouldn't do anything.

Greedo whenever a post is made, it alerts Mole's spinal cord.

As for the idea, how would would one think it would to see Bob on the roof?
