i could use this and have the machine shop on campus make me a real functioning .45 caliber gun?

 that looks crap j/k
I could use 3dsmax and have a functioning .45 cal pistol. The problem is... I HAVE NO PARTS. LOL, if you're gonna make a custom gun, a gunsmith has to make you custom parts, which are REALLY damn expensive.
what I said earlier about this being competition for Drake's Pistol...scratch that...now (at least imo) it looks better than Drake's Just widen the barrel a bit...looks like a .22 lol
gonna have to tone down the detail a bit.... 8000 polys...
you will hurt yourself with that gun... this concept is more than inpractical...
*STOPU!!!* dear readers... on regular days sheena would explain how firearms do work, showing some basic examples of gun mechanics, givin a crashcourse in weapon ergonomics ,explaining some physical laws and their effects on the structure of the weapon, doing kinetic energy calculations. matter stress diagrams.... and maybe loooots of other useless crap... like... why a slider should have a well calculated specific wheigt to make the gun work...and that there is no fusion asissted ammo, even in future... ha...but youre lucky...sheena isnt in the mood today to type 20 post long monologues and reports about how to improve the idea of a newcomming gunmodeller and his stylish visions of future firearms.. because design over function roolz *continue*
interesting idea...maybe its fusion asissted.. edit: definitly..
hehehe ***shut up sheena*** j/k... but seriously fusion fueled ammo could open doors on technology decreasing the size of the gun to mere inches. all we need is time effort and money

Thats the fun part about modeling...research
cause while this may look cool research could yield something that looks that much cooler.
however its your model and where you take it is your business
Extend the frame (not the slide!) to about 2.25 what it is now...that would give ample room for a chamber, ejector, and the necessary mechanisms, quiet the nay-sayers, and look better imo.
i like it, exept i think the 3 barrels on top is to far from the lower one... other then that gj..
if you look at the last pic, the model looks nothinging like that anymore...
and sheena... yeess, im aware that it wouldnt actually work that way, for the weight problem, its made out of an extra heavy alloy that is very heavy, and it is sculpted to be just the right weight to work... the bullets are small (.45 caliber) uranium pellets with a small hollow of c4 on them... thi makes the design work...somehow...
im not at my modeling comp so i cant make the changes atm...
Yes the new grip is teh sechie, but methinks its a little too thin in the upper part to hold a magazine
heavy alloy :-/ you havent listened..havent you? with wheight ive meant the structure/construction of the slide too.. do you know what kind of forces effecting a pistolslider? maybe not hard enough to damage it instantly...but i bet you will tear apart that gun after 20 rounds or less. ...when you want that something work, and you dont know if and how it will.. call it fusion asissted.. and dont explain it with stuff you dont have any clue about

its only a bloody game sheen... there arnt many laws of physics needed
aaah, another day, another part of the pistol modeled... i should be getting done with most of it in the next few hours... then i export it to 3ds MAX and assemble it, animate, and beg for a skinmesher/skinner.... then releasage day!

ITs the program they use when they actually manufacture all those REAL guns you all use in CS and replace your NS weaps with...
Use Lightwave instead!

And move the barrel up, and make it wider.

good that there is no slider spring..otherwise it would go kablooowie...
*oops i did it again...*
