    you can also set a password when your computer boots up, during the POST.

    its in your Bios somewhere (hit delete while computer is booting, usualy after the beep).

    Dont muck around with the other settings though .. you could seriously screw over your PC.

    (and don't forget your password either <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> )

    On my Display Settings(Right click desktop---> Properties----->Screen Savers Tab) for the screensaver right next to the amount of time I want the ScreenSaver to come on it says "On Resume, Password Protect" with a little checkbox. I assume the password it puts is the one for the account you are using.

    Hope it helps.

    Silly people. In XP, right click on your desktop, go to properties, hit the screen saver tab, then check the "On resume, display welcome screen" box. When you move the mouse, the welcome/log in screen will be there. From there you just password your account and tah da!

    Well, on my laptop I just go to G/K->System Settings->Screensaver and check the 'Require password for deactivation' box. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
