Captain, I think we have a leak.
Hi, I recently (yesterday) downloaded Hammer, in an attempt to learn a bit of mapping. I was getting along ok by following the tutorials at HandyVandal (more specifically TWHL), but now i'm stumped by lights.

Whether I put a light in a room or not, it will always be light, which from what little I know about mapping, suggests a leak. But my room is literally a CUBE, so how can there be any leaks? I tried typing "pointfile" in the console, but that said "0 points read" which would suggest I DONT have a leak

So, do I have a leak, how do I find leaks, and how do I FIX leaks?

Thank you for helping a nublet.

*edit* and the map crashes my computer quite a lot for some reason, is this leak-related? *edit*

*edit* hmm, I downloaded an example map which is supposed to be orange-lit... but it isnt. That can't be good *edit*

New mappers --------------->the best advise i can give you is use the grid!!! if you use the grid its really hard to get a leak.

    I USED THE GRID!

I told you, my map was literally a CUBE, but the lights still dont work, and it crashes a lot.
