Heres one of the catapult. I still think it needs some lighting work. It's hard to get all the details in so alot is out of shot.

yeah im not sure how to develop the catapult. I think it could be so much more but i'm not sure how. I think it would need readical changes which im not in the mood for .

[edit] the catapult was originally meant to have a space craft attached to the long rail thing in the centre (that is the purpose of the catapult, to launch ships ) But i think it would cost alot in performance. I might give it a try though... someday.

they're actually not particularly bright (compared to hera spawn which i remember being far brighter). Does it look that bright to you? I thought it should look quite bright anyways, like nasa ground control (from what i remember it looking like)

Don't listen to them, Homestar. Some people seem to think that every room of every NS map needs to have totally pitch black sections so that aliens can hide in the shadows. Just ignore these people.

I think the screenshots look awesome. It really does look like a busy command center, and without raising r_speeds too much! Actually, the r_speeds are incredible considering the detail! You might want to add some chair models sticking out of the consoles, or else make them taller (designed for people standing up.) Hmmm... come to think of it... that would make them better cover, wouldn't it?

Good luck with your map! It's looking pretty awesome! Maybe try infesting the catapault hive a little more.

The light blue trim works nicely in the computer room, but it doesn't fit so well with the hive room.

Try adding a wall to block LoS(line of sight) with the hallway in the back, for that hive room, it might help reduce your r_speeds seeing how its at w_poly 800s.... But of course add a cool detailed wall blocking the LoS.

you mean a kind of enclosure around that entrance? so that you you would have a t shape entrance. I'll try that. Maybe i can incorperate the wall light. Thanks one eyed :S

I just read that :o. Thanks. You were saying about adding chair models. Do you mean actual models added into the map? Because in all honesty i'm not sure how to do that . Help would be really appreciated and i REALLY appreciate the encouragement . [edit] To kage : I agree with you whole heartedly but i haven't got any texture that fits better tbh. I would like rows of red circular spots that are animated (like a runway), No idea where i could get them

Dude.. brushwork is awesome. Totally reminds me of Star Wars for some reason (probably because i spent the last three days playing it non-stop). Everyone knows the starwars feeling. Very well-lit rooms with long bars/strips of light, and you have those long strips of light. I like it a lot. None of the official maps seem to have any sort of this lighting, so you've definetly got that going for you.... and Star Wars is so cool! How can you not love something that looks like Star Wars?!

That looks really great. It's original, good lightning, and design.
