Ns2.0 Map Overviews

Like the name says... I figured last night as I was staring at 1.04 overviews trying to devise 2.0 strategies that I might as well make some overviews of my own. Here's a sample. Note that I haven't bothered with location names because I don't need them, and if I were to put them on, it would take hours to finish, time that I need to catch some Zs. Anyhow, enjoy .

P.S. I went a little overboard with the gamma on some maps, but oh well .

Note that because of my host, you'll have to copy and paste that into your address box manually. Clicking on the link will NOT work.

ed: just saw reply . I'd love to add loc names, but that would require me going through each map, taking down notes on locations, etc etc. That would take a while. However, if I had some sort of reference to copy location names from, I'd be glad to do it.

detail is fine.
the sign does not need a blue border.
You missed one resnode.
Vents and multi-level-crossongs could be marked.
Its too blurry because of jpg right?

I also added siege ranges around hives and resnodes

thx
don't matter
weldables are marked. startpositions too. crossings/vents could be done I guess, somebody has to do the artwork for me, this was a copy paste job.
once I update it (which seems inevitable now with all the requests) I'll use a higher detail so the jpg won't blur it too much.

I need some sort of reference to add siege ranges etc. That'd be cool tho.

Like I said, copy and paste the address. Clicking on the link will NOT work.

The overviews are available in the overviews folder in TGA format, I converted it into BMP, stole the icons from the 1.04 overviews available on many sites, added a "Screen" layer filter through photoshop, and proceeded to copy paste. I went into the game and took snapshots of all the minimaps to use as reference. Simple, but incredibly tedious.

thx ollj, found that res node, I'll add it after school tomorrow. Can you look over my other maps and check for mistakes?

Looks great, but the blue border throws you off a bit.

Since I doubt I'll ever get round to doing the overview maps for all NS maps, I suppose the community could benefit if you would do them.

The attached files should help get the names right and locate the vents.

And if you decide to use them, a little credit would be nice.

Thanks wolv! I should've thought of using your minimaps before! And yes, of course I'll give you credit .
