Some Nature Pics I Took With My
<div class="IPBDescription">dad's dig cam</div> The digital camera is a fuji finepix..It is automatic and not manual, so that means all the apperture and shutter speeds are automatic, which I don't get, because digital cameras aren't mechanically sophisticated as mechanical cameras...I didn't have a tripod so..bleh...
Anyways here are some pics for your boredom and enjoyment.
Yes, the rocky moutains...Gota love them, because they are so majestic and powerful. Here is a pic of a waterfall, dark conditions, so these pics aren't properly lighted. BTW, I only go out of the city to the mountains like once every 1 or 2 years.
<img src='http://www.members.shaw.ca/orichalc/yes.JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Note the baseline and how it isn't filled with water at the time being.
<img src='http://www.members.shaw.ca/orichalc/ok.JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Picture of the sun when it was red. The red isn't very visible in the picture, because it was to bright to be properly shown. There was also a big forest fire nearby in Banff.
<img src='http://www.members.shaw.ca/orichalc/nice.JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
Some lightning pictures I took. A lightning storm hit nearby and there was lightning every second...It was so cool that I thought I go out nearby in the ravine and take pictures with a tripod, camera, shutter cable, and of course, an umbrella!
I stood out there for 2 hours and watched plus took 2 rolls of ISO 100 film with only 7 pics to show. The shutter speed was set to B and I took 30 sec plus exposures of the lightning at f/5.6 - 8. There is a lot of overexposure on these pics, but it is really hard to get lightning properly since it is so bright.
Sorry for the terrible res pic, I don't have a scanner.
<img src='http://www.members.shaw.ca/orichalc/lightning.JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
My camera:
It is a beast, Nikon F2, one of the best made mechanical cameras ever.
<img src='http://www.members.shaw.ca/orichalc/nikon.JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
If I ever get a scanner, I will post some really nice pics I took with film, and of course I am only 16, so bleh. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I thought I should share some pics to relieve some of the boredom of you people. I find pic posts a lot more interesting at times than posts that contain only words.

Aw poor guy <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> Take a trip to the mountains. I love my school, there are some incredibly scenic places to oogle over. Here's another gorgeous mini-waterfall we found along the way.
I have a whole bunch of other really pretty ones, if you're interested let me know and I'll post more, for now I hope you enjoy these, I was rather amazed by them.
BTW kida I love that 2nd picture on your initial post, wow, just wow. I also love those pictures of the mountains in your second group of pictures, were they taken from a plane, or do you know?
My amazing photography club contest winner! 1st place, in yearbook, and in school literary magazine! w00t!
...ack! where is it?!
btw, some cool pics of Mt. Mckinley in Alaska.

Do you guys think this is a spam topic? Anyways, to make things less spammy, hehe, where in all places of the world would you people want to go to and why?
I would like to go to Greece, Italy, or South America and Mongolia. Greece and Italy, because I have always been interested in old-ancient stuff. Mongolia and South America, because I just want to, well maybe not that, but yeah.
and to answer your question kida... the water was frozen solid, I didn't post any of the actual huge waterfall at the end of the trail because it has pictures of me in it >.<, we were all walking around right in front of the frozen solid waterfall. It was really neat!
[edit] j/k about that [/edit]
anyway I would like to travel to China and Iran, before the whole war on terrorism i would have said baghdad but i can kiss that vacation goodbye now <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Wait I found one, this should be ok. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
btw scurt? what the heck does that mean?
Here's another one... it's a small little frozen brook and those were some tree limbs that we may or may not have been climbing on... p.s. if my pictures are getting annoying just say cool it, I won't post anymore.
Yeah about 10 minutes away. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> I love this school because it's in the mountains (beautiful scenery), so it's kind of secluded, and very peacful, but it's also got a little college town atmosphere. We have our own secluded little community down here, with a mall, movie theatre, and everything. It's also in the country so there are a lot of farms, horses, and other livestock. (I love animals especially horses) It's basically the ideal place to live. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> We even get people that come down and give concerts on campus, Dave Schapel (however you spell that) came also, so we have a lot of stuff like that that happens. Good times! Anyway....
Ok this is the thing everytime I say something I'll just add another picture...
This next one was taken from on top of the big falls looking down, nice drop there. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> It was a much better view then this picture shows, but I think you can at least get the feel, it was so cool. The people in the pic are actually standing on the frozen water. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> A good height up too, very slick. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
The very first one reminds me of First Blood. :P
good times
