How bright are those screenshots in relation to the actual level?

they were pretty close. But i remembered I still hadn't put in the env_gamma. Now that I put it in, everything is a lot brighter, some places have to be darkened.

Got a question. How do you all manage to stay under 4mb texture use. Agh, Im only half done and im punching very close to it. This happens with all ns maps I do.
Okay, lets see how I could help... in the enclosed pic I have made a list of suggestions.
Pink circles: Should be weld points. Pink blotches: Should be a vent that spills out into the hallway. Black Blotch: Removed. Red lines: Future vents.
In the upper right you can see I moved one node to the hallway right outside of the hive so that the hallway has some more purpose.
The big circled area with a '?' mark means: What the heck is that area for? If it has no importance, scrap it and make the file size smaller.
In the room that used to be the old marine start: That proposed vent actually runs through the entire room, and has only one exit where the red line stops.
At the lower left corner of the map, you can see the two proposed vents... they are not supposed to connect. Two straight lines that cross each other. They are basically two way vents only, by this method it will still give invading marines some breathing room from aliens who could otherwise continually pour out of the vent or be harrased by a lerk 24/7.
noticed that there's lots of spotlights, you might want to remove some of them if you're getting too close to 200 entities.
