If you could give us your motherboard brand (add: and model) , or in the case of a pre-built PC, tell us what memory you got (precisely) with it? If needed call the pc builder?

Well ummm here are the system specs.... ... ... AMD XP2400+ ______________ • 80GB ATA 100 Hard Disk • 512 DDR PC2100 Memory • 52x24x52 CDRW • GeForce MX 440 64mb • 32 BiT PCI 3D Sound w/140w Speakers • Microsoft Windows XP Home • 10/100 PCI Nic • Mid Tower Case with 9 Drive Bays and Front USB Ports • 400w UL Power Supply • USB/SER/Par/PS2 Ports
Just wondering as to why u need more then 512meg of DDR ram?
*edit* the 4 posts after this still do not answer my question as to why any sane person would need more then 512meg unless thier running some huge hardware app such as 3dmax.
The answer because we feel outdated is not a good one, i have never found trying to compete to be the best worthwhile as their will always be someone better then you.
Also lots of RAM causes problems in OSs such as win98 were over 1gig of ram has real instablity issues with the whole computer.

Because we <b><i>can</i></b> get more ram.
I'm gonna get a 512 DDR stick soon, so I'll have 768 mb DDR. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
