For those of you that dont know, Republic is an RTS, where you start a revolution to overthrow the evil dicator of the formor Soviet state.
You can use brute force, money and influence to acheive your goals.

I got it today and although its a got a steep learning curve its still a great game.

    Unfortunatly no multiplayer.

    But, I could see it being done but it probably wouldnt make a good multiplayer game. I mean all it would do is replace the AI with a human.

    But yeh that would be cool but it doesnt.

    Multiplayer isn’t so important in games like this IMO.

    This Game Is Pwn

    Best. RTS. Evar!

    So far my faction "The Illuminati" (Spot the Deus Ex reference) has taken over two areas of the initial town through rousing speeches and door to door canvassing. I have a Trade Unionist and a Political Activist as my right hand men and have a Salesman in my sights as next "employee" (I'm also working up for a person with Military connections....


    That would be cool....

    -EDIT- And by the way there is no commie bashing, you can even be a communist and spread the message of anti-capitalism!

    There is, I'm bashing them now cause i need to get 80% in that area... Iv even had my guy go and kick their butts a few times and the commie ends up crying.

    Holy crap. I remember reading about this game YEARS ago inb my Computer gaming World Magazine,


    I thought it would never come out and it was forgotten but yay. Ive been waiting forever. Im sure the graphics engine has been updated about 2 times since then but finaly.

    Talk about tough *SPOILER* In the mission where you have to get 80% to get the newspaper printer, the commies own 100% of it, I cant eveng et my party in the door, so iv decided to "disband" his party, by making his men disloyal to his cause by beatign them and spreading rumors...
