Cpu Usage/max Players Settings

How many players will run smoothly?
Back when NS 2.0 was being called NS v1.1 there was talk of reducing the server CPU usage by a significant amount. Is this still true for NS 2.0?How many players would work well on a 1.2GHz server? Bandwidth is not an issue here. Data from experience is greatly appreciated.

Currently, my server is set for 14-players and runs like a champ. The CPU rarely shoots above 50% usage (*and* I have the hlds.exe priority level upped a bit) and the ping averages around 70. Average outgoing throughput during a full game usually stays under 60kbps. Pretty sweet. I'm planning on upping it to 16-players, but probably won't go above that. I find that having more than 8 players on each side makes for a confusing mess of a game...
So, if you're setup is similar to mine, you should have no problems running 12-16 players...

i'm also running a 18player TS servers and 2 18player CS servers ts uses 1-10% full and the 2 cs servers i havn't seen them get above 10% either...
