The point is, about TF2, we haven't seen a single new screenshot in years. I mean, hell, Doom 3 has had more screens released since it became official! I'm wanting to see how the thing looks now. I mean, by the time it comes out, it'll probably be outdated already. People won't even care about it, IMHO.

Of course, that's my opinion. Hell, it could be good. It could still be fun. But unless they hurry up, I'm going to have to accidently forget about it. ("TF2? Wha? Is that like Star Trek?")

Yes, last I checked, they had included a tactical nuke. I believe it is placed by the commander, armed by a marine, and costs many many many RPs.

That pics been around for a while. I can't help feeling that a Mod might take a slight issue with it.

Ha! They edited that pic to make it say something about the UT2K3 demo release date!

It goes like that kitten one, except it says "...the UT2K3 demo is delayed again... so please, think of the kittens."

I Have not been here that long and even "I" know the rule.
So I refrain from asking when it will be released and sit patiently.

/me Neglects to mention the resumé he sent in hopes of being choosed as a playtester....

So you all should take a lesson (Minus the Resumé) from me and just be patient.

BooooYah!

Heh, this thread reminds me of DW online final release, except the owner actually promised to release it.... http://mallahanproductions.com/dwo/ it was supposed to be released on the 5th, but the owner suposedly is in to much pain from getting his wisdom teeth pulled, so he's delaying it for like a week. He promised this release to be done a month ago, but then he delayed it for a month, I hope natural selection doesn't try crap like this . I'v actually been just spectating on and off of the NS website for like 2 months now and its been getting completed pretty fast, I suggest everyone here find something to do until NS is finally release -_-. www.byond.com is a great hold until it's released, 2d online games and an easy way to program, I might even make my own little free fan game based like a side story from NS. Well if any of yall do join the community, I'm Kusanagi. If NS brings me from that community, then its a good game .

See, the NS team is really smart. They have said nothing about release dates. Nothing at all. We have no idea when it's going to be released. I doubt they will even give a date for it. I think it will be more along the lines of showing up at the forums one day, and there is a new announcement, saying that the game is done, with a list of mirrors.

It's easier on them that way, and easier on the fans too. That way we have no right to get up in arms if a date is missed, because there is no date.

weird...i thought that i read somewhere that you dont ask to be a playtester - you get asked....if your post are serious and you dont ******** and something else i cant remember..######...

anyways - look at me!, im serious most of the time...the rest i dont know what i am...better find out

I agree F3rret, but IF you are gonna announce a release date make sure its completely done first off, then back it up on 10 freaken cds .
• f3rretf3rret Join Date: 2002-05-29 Member: 686Members
Hells yeah, Kusanagi... I'm just saying that they will probably only give us the realease date once the mirrors are online, and not sooner.

Finally, someone agrees with me, I'v dealt with 10 year olds far to long who think differently. Of course though, it's what I get for hanging around with communities who play "Dragonball Z" games and flood good websites with their poorly programmed 2d games.

That'll learn ya. Don't mock DBZ too much though... I think I've seen some sigs/avatars of them floating around the forums. I really don't know my anime very well though, so they could be anything.
• LongtoothLongtooth Join Date: 2002-07-02 Member: 863Members
Bah! How dare you refer to DBZ as anime......DBZ is more like americanime.
• GwahirGwahir Join Date: 2002-04-24 Member: 513Members, Constellation
though originally made in Japan?

in personal experience, I cannot watch even part of DBZ without feeling an intense urge to mock it.
• LongtoothLongtooth Join Date: 2002-07-02 Member: 863Members
The whole DBZ name has become far to americanized for it to be considered anime, anyways it is very childish and one of the distinguishing features of anime is its matureity for a generally childish medium(cartoons).
• KusanagiKusanagi Join Date: 2002-08-07 Member: 1097Members
If you have ever seen a full Japanese DBZ episode you wont say it's childish, it's actually rather gory, perverted, and they cuss like sailors!

He's right, the American version has like, reduced gore and stuff.... hell, with the amount of gore in it (read: pretty much none) someone could mistake it for being from Germany!

That isn't a distinguishing feature of anime. Remember Speed Racer and the like. Anime also tends to feature such a large amount of cliches found only in niche markets. Dogs and Demons by Alex Berr has a nice section over anime and the Japanese movie industry.
• LongtoothLongtooth Join Date: 2002-07-02 Member: 863Members
It is one of the key features of anime that sets it apart from just cartoons, although some anime is designed for children the general amount of real japanese anime is designed for older audiences then shows like Hamtaro for instance.

hey if u have ever seen the original japanese dbz, you would not say it is childish.

there is a mod coming out with really good visual and gameplay features, which was made of dbz.

www.esforces.com

when it comes out it will look damn good, not as good as ns, but it will look better than counterstrike or dmz...

hmm hot summer with those great mods... ok u say err dbz mod, how often did we hear that.. but look it and u will see huge maps and argh simply wait for it and u will see it. just like ns.

did u ever seen ghost in the shell??? thats a real good anime, with a lot of blood, ppl get their head blown up, and the mega cool uzi with hyper velocity bullets. killin an apc with a whole magazine...
