<div class="IPBDescription">'meshing'</div> yeah so i can make good mesh's but its a real (insert word) to do. Whats worse is the program i use, lith unwrap, screws up my smoothing groups! so i have to redo them after meshing! its f'd up. Just wondering if anyone had any better ways, if not then oh well, if so then please share.

3dsmax has an excellent UVW mapping utility; I'm not familiar with anything else, unfortunately.

    Step To Step make Uwmap(s)=

Open Photoshop or paint shop pro, make a new image of 256x256 pixels, now select the 256x256.bmp at materials editor in milkshape, select model, press ctrl+t and press remap if ya want, press print screen and ctrl+v in painshop pro/photoshop,now take out the uvw map by cropping now ya can skin it, lithunwrap however is better.

Yes, importing from lith unwrap will mess up your smoothing groups. So you have to do it after you've done the skinmesh. This is because milkshape is anal.

Lith unwrap is the best tool I've ever used for skinmeshing.
