    I just fixed a problem where a brush in the ceiling was obscuring the comm's view. There was a space of 8 units between two parts of the roof, so the compiler, instead of ditching those useless sides, made a big dark space in that little gap... a big dark space that covered a huge portion of the comm's view. (So to fix the problem I just had to resize the brushes so that the gap was removed and all the brushes that made up the roof were up against each other and uniform.)

    Also note that setting the comm's view too high might send r_speeds down the tubes while you're in the chair, so be careful.

    Does your map have a leak? If it does then the outside surfaces of the map will not be removed. That could lead to the problems you are describing.

    I'm scared. Carnage did not answer my question with a definite NO. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
    What could that mean?

    It sounds to me like you have the comm view to high. If you are physically "seeing" the roof and able to build upon in then just lower your view. Try this. In VHE you can physically see what value to set the view at, like so. Below is a picture. It is by default the bottom right pane in VHE. It shows the "side" of you level. Move your cursor over to an acceptable height, like a little lower than the ceiling, then look right below that pane on the status bar. You'll see @ ??, 567 <<< This number is the value you should set your height to. Note that 567 is just three digits in a row that my fingers ran over, your height will be different. If you still see teh ceiling then lower yourvalue or actuallu depending on what plane your on you may have to raise it.

    Good Luck!
