Does anyone have one?
We have a NetGear DG814 ADSL router, and recently, it seems to be dropping the connection every half an hour or so, which can get annoying.

Dad reckons it could be the firmware version, but he wont do anything about it..

Does anyone else have one of these, and is experiencing the same problem??

I had this exact same problem.
Update the firmware, and all should be solved

I had a problem similar to that a while ago, the only difference being that I'm using a Linksys router. I did just about everything - I updated the firmware, tested all the patch cables, tested the house cat5 cabling, and called the cable company's tech support to see if there was anything weird with the cable modem.

It turns out the problem was a bad cable connection between the cable company's switchbox on the poles outside and my house. They came in and ran a new cable to the house, and now it works great.
