Battlefield 2042 :P
If you've played all the old Bethesda Terminator-franchise games over the years (Terminator: Rampage, Terminator: Future Shock, Skynet: The Terminator - I played them, all like the psycho fanboy that I am), then you'll be excited to hear that the new trailer for Terminator 3: War of the Machines has been released (check shacknews, gamespy. etc. for downloads).
I for one and pretty pumped. It looks to be 'Battlefield 2042' (32-player humans vs. terminators) online multiplayer team action, which would be ho-hum... except it's Terminator! So you can be a hunter-killer, an infiltrator, etc. and duke it out in the ruins of Los Angeles.
The trailer is 56K(rap)-friendly at 4MB and shows off a fair amount of action.

I WAN T THIS GAME!1
One of the things I absolutely hate about it (and terminator 3 the movie has this same problem) is how the humans are using modern weaponry - m16's, oicw's, other bullet based weapons - instead of the futuristic laser based weapons of the first two movies...
"Wise of the Machines"? Weally?
actually DOOManiac they had both types of weaponry, they had modern day weapons and used plasma rifles and all the other hi tech goodies that they looted from the hunter killers and or had before the incident, they mostly had modern day weaponry they pretty much got whatever weapon they could find and give it to another soldier. hopefully ull be able to loot some plasma rifles off the dead hunters
EDIT: i got this site from my friend awhile back, everything u want to know about terminator and tis history and REAL facts is here, have fun! Terminator FACTS
I can't wait to laser some inferior lifeforms as a machine.

So wrong. T:R was an awesome game with great atmosphere. And Skynet? Hellllooooo, they invented mouselook and had kickbutt 3D before iD had it's head out of its arse. As for the weapons, this is nowhere near released so I have no doubts they'll be using plasma rifles in a 40-watt range and such as well.
As always, Doom goes nu sk00l.
Such fun to be had as the Infiltrator model
mwaaahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!
that is all.

No, then it would be "lise of the machines".

Aron: Team Deathmatch, obviously. We also have our own twist on the Domination game – we call it Termination. This is a capture-the-bases type of mode, but the twist is that the player with the highest frag count on the human side has the option to choose the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. This gives the human side a more powerful character and provides motivation to be the highest scorer. We are also doing a Mission mode in which one side defends something while the other tries to attack and overtake it.

Nifty. Not groundbreaking, but at least it's not purely BF42 lame-o flag capturing...
And a slightly older Gamespy interview here with even more details.

You are so wrong. The Bethesda 3d-games for pc were quite good. They managed to make a rather convincing world and an enjoyable shooter.

I was contacted by C2 / Intermedia about the project and the situation they are in. As you can tell with the many Terminator fansites out there, they are very open regarding the Terminator copyrighted material. The people I talked to were very friendly and understanding regarding our project.
The problem that arises is the fact that they are investing considerable time and resources into a new game called "Terminator: War of the Machines". Because our mod is free it is feared that it may cause lost revenue as gamers may choose to play our mod instead of purchasing thier game.
As diehard gamers and fans of the Terminator movies we can't wait to pick this game up. We have no desire to cause any lost revenues as we want to see further Terminator based games (and movies) and thus based on our discussions with C2 / Intermedia, we have stopped development of our mod. I will be removing all Terminator based images and references from the website soon."

That taken from their now partially defunct homepage.
Tho to be honest I don't mind them cracking down on the modders if WotM is as good as its shaping up to be.
I loved the multiplayer, chasing a jeep along in a HK, firing my pulse lazers, cornering around buildings... Woo!
Though the weapons were a little dull. There was essentially a small, medum and large version of each weapon. They just did more damage and used more ammo as you went up the chain. The SP was pretty scary too.

Nice interview with lotsa new (to me) info. Looking good...
Don't the Terminators have red tainted vision?
