<div class="IPBDescription">Is it a big pain?</div> You know all those "help" messages that are supposed to disappear whne you do cl_autohelp 0
Theres a few that still appear..
These are the annoying ones, like the ones that spam your screen if you try to get into the comm chair to quick after getting out (see screenshot, these messages reduced me from 70 fps to 4!)
Does anyone know how to get rid of them..?
I've tried editing titles.txt (Which you aren't supposed to, if you mess up your game its not my fault, (make a backup)) setting the fadein, fadeout, and holdtime all to 0, but it had no effect
Maybe I should try removing them all from titles.txt, Didn't work.. I got the name of the message supposed to be shown
I am now trying editing them to blank..
To reproduce the below screenshot.
Get in the Comm chair,
get out and hold use on the comm chair
about the time I hit 4fps, I could get back in

and there won't be any "spam" if you don't hit E every half-second until you get back in.
And well.. I'm sorry that I care my screen is filled up with blue boxes
------------
I think I figured it out, edit the annoying messages to blanks, and they wont appear <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Well..
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->//TITLES FOR NATURAL SELECTION
//DO NOT ALTER THIS FILE<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Those are the first 2 lines of the file.. but do what you want
They should look like this if you choose to edit them out
<!--c1--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->ReadyRoomMessage
{
}<!--c2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
I'll send my titles.txt to anyone who wants it after I finish it
The only helping thing i need is thje welding icon and im set...
When i turn off auto help i want all help to be off! (except wedling icons)
Its also a dead giveaway to certain things...sometime you'll be a marine and youll be walking down a dark corridor and you'd look at a corner and say "nothing there"....
BUT with help on.....*Looks into dark corridor* "Nothing there...." *Help window pops up saying...* "This is a sensory chamber. It will cloak and aliens buidlings blah blah blah...."
The help just gave-away away the position of a sensory tower to a MARINE! <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
