Counter Against Elite Players

Getting owned by marines who seem to have aimbot skills? Rambo marines that don't miss? Never getting a second hive guarded by clan sharpshooters? Still get shot even when you have celerity? F4 it, because you think he's too good of a shot and must be cheating?

Answer: Get sensory first. Who cares about observertory and scan sweeps when your entire team can't kill 2 or 4 aimbotlike marines. It's game over already, because you won't be able to stop them from getting rts, hives, and kill points. Super duper rambo can't shoot what he can't see uh most of the time. If you can stop them from rambo killing your team over and over then the rest of the game will be so much easier.

What happens when your team realises that they have aimbot-like shooters but you already have non-sens chambers down?

Can you say "F4"? Good luck!

Get better FPS and ping and become one yourself. If you're stuck in 50-60 FPS like I am (10-20 in firefights), hope theres someone with 80+ FPS so he has a chance of killing them...

First order of business- find out if they are really cheating. I usually play on cd required servers, and this does keep any cheaters out as far as i have seen.
If they're really good, just get the whole team to rush. Kill one of them at a time, then defend the place.

Or get an onos. It takes like 100 lmg bullets to kill a CARAPACED onos. We all know carapace is the suck. Get regen, or redemption if your a wuss, and kill them.

Or just spam gas, the easy way.

I dont know how ns works as far as bullet accuracy and lag, but i remember that it seemed impossible to hit those laggy skulks in 1.0 when everyone had a ping of like 600+. Instead of raising fps, maybe start like six hundred downloads or something. It would be cheap, but it could work. I usually just go with gas. It's easiest, and better than a rush with rfk.

NS is much more fun when you play on a server that is populated with those of a comperable skill level. The place to start is play servers with good pings somewhat at random, and make good use of the "favorite" server tag. If you're rather worried about cheating, only play on CD servers (which at least helps).

Other than that, there isn't anything you can do about it. Ruining other players' experiances because you are unhappy is a quick way to get banned, and excessive use of F4 says "ban me please!" to plenty of admins.

Edit: oh, right. Celerity != godmode, btw.

I wouldn't get sensory. With a decent comm it makes it useless. Mostly you'll want the dc/mcs for your later evolutions.

You will find now that hte novelty is over alot of people will be mad if you drop sens, so please ask first.

I warn you, trying to stop a 2 hive lock down with sensory versus an awesome rine team is extremely hard.

If ur a real good rine u can see partially, the personal cloaked aliens. SoF is good if u can dodge well as a skulk as you know where to attack trying to get close to make the attack is rather hard without a mc or dc upgrade tho.

Sense is good if ur team is willing to invest sum res to help out with sc's everywhere, usually everyone is too tight to share res and give up their onos. I figure 3 mcs at the start is all you need if ur team is not gonna share.
Dcs are good but require quite a bit of investment still tho.

well I guess you could play the game like youre not invincible bwahahahaha

erm yes and then get slaughtered by elite marine players during the middle and end game when they hav upgrades and you have an onos whose slow as crap and nigh on useless.

when you put sens first : think, do you really have a team who will give up their res for a large sensoryt network? Probably not.

7/10 times i see sens first, i dont even see 3 sens built until the 2nd hives gone up, meaning the main advantage of sens which is incidently, a very strong early game, has not been exploited.

You don't really need 3, but two really well placed SCs will do nicely. Only one can't give nearly the coverage you require to control the map, but good use of chokepoints makes two workable.

The actual evolved upgrades (cloak, scent of fear) aren't all that needed at the start if you place your sensories well. Cloak is obviously redundant while you're standing in range of an SC, and SoF is only needed when the marine breach containment. Even then, level 2 SoF is pretty good still.

I would recommend Movement instead of Sensory in this situation. I've found that many of the really good shooters out there have come to rely on locating your footsteps before you reach them. They zero in on you, then "splat". Level 3 silence completely removes this skill. Not only do they not hear you closing in on them, they won't hear the first bite which immediately puts them at a disadvantage.

As always, motion tracking can seriously limit your stealth but don't expect them to invest 45 res early in the game.

Evasive manoeuvers. If a marine can kill you as you're leaping at the ceiling then there's not much you can do against him as a skulk.

Drop OCs , they have legit aimbots and 1000 hps , aimbotter rambos are owned by OCs.

I disagree, the mc is very powerful when used correctly ( doh but I even think its more powerful then dcs or sc first )

I could write 2 pages about this, but not today tho

one of the things is that celerity is more usefull then regeneration or whatever at start (the hive heals but nothing makes u go faster then the sensitivity that most ppl use for their mouse )
