model-shizoprenic
The gorges first person view model looks nice but it has absolutely nothing to do with the gorge model itself.
Its a completely different lifeform, like the gorge is shizoprenic.
time to change this?
I tried to put the gorge model into the first person view for more consistency, it all more or less failed, and not only because of wrong alignment:
Examples:
- Both upper pics: classic view.
you see the gorge from above and maybe yur feet. the ogiginal model is just for alignment testing.
This looks cute and good, sadly you dont see the mouth and the nose looks like a horn on this model.
The cloaked picture just shows that you will never see your tounge/mouth in this view.
- lower left: In mouth view.
both lips are too low, the wiew must be further back to show more of the tounge, that is too high.
It blocks the view less than the skulks view and gorges rarely bite. So it makes sense using this view as gorge seeing the tounge working.
- lower right: Two eyes blended view.
You see one screen from out of 2 eyes... when you have a long nose like the gorge, your left eye sees the nose on the right border and your right eye sees it on the left border, both blended together.
Here the alignment sucks and blocks the view too much, when aligned correctly you might see two mouthes, tounges and noses perfectly on the borders (always the same one mouth).
It might look really nice and be a big contrast to all the other views.
BIG problem here is the spit particle, because it comes from the lower center.
As long as you dont spit this looks the best i think, even better with additive transparency for "2 eyes blending"-realism (the left eye sees the left side clearly... ).

silly guy. if you ever watch a gorge closely when it's building... those are the horrible nasty appendages from inside its mouth.
gross, but still a fat shutdown on your project. sorry, i'm in a killing mood.
badabing.
its ay too fat and too big for a tounge!
when i stant close to a gorge healing it my tounge is bigger than his whole body.
