<i>The onos that attacked boggle is down, but Boggle is still out cold. Another onos is starting to act like it's rather dissy. The last is fine. The fade that spin tries to hit in the eye reacts pretty quick though. And even though spin manages to actually put a bullet trough it's eye, dropping it, it also manages to get a claw right trough Spin's shoulder. Spin stands on the spot for a few seconds, wavering on the spot unable to focus. Then he passes out, dropping to the floor.
Apart from that, the lerks are dead now. Only the two onos left.</i>

<i>A scream of inhuman rage spreads through the room, sounding like it's coming from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. While it's happening, the hive goes slack. The weak onos seems to take a killing blow in the same second, dropping to the floor. Only one is still left standing, but the rage of this onos seems beyond this world as it rushes towards Khaim in a last, desperate attempt to take revenge for what was done.
The world seems to slow down as the bullets rain down on the onos, and it stumbles on it's way towards Khaim. Silence spread trough the room as those of you who are still standing there settle down, still standing after the first, but hopefully not last, battle against the evolution. The war of the Ariadne Arm has begun, but it has far from ended.</i>

Looks round at the empty room.* "So, how are we going to get out of here ?" </span></b>

Well, as for the splitting of players, I'll send you a PM on the matter (want to coordinate and find out how it would work out). Essentially, the action of this chapter is over and you're going back with a dropship (already saved all 39 pages of posts to the hard drive, that's a lot of pages when each one is 40 posts).
Plan on starting the next chapter of the wars once it's ready. Right now, it's time to evaluate this round. It's gonna be neccesary to make some changes before next time.

My input initially:
Personally, I feel I somehow lost control in the late game when too many players joined up. 18 players have been registered with stats so far, and sometimes a lot of them went online in one day. That had the result of me simply being unable to reply to each action, since doing so would mean hours of work each day (and even though I like this roleplay a lot, spending hours each day is more than I can manage). So I got to the point where I found myself forced to making shortcuts (just writing combat summaries in italics for instance). In doing so, I kind of felt I dropped the real aspects of the story, and it stopped being as fun. And I believe that in the times where the DMs stops having fun, the very game loses its appeal to everyone. Thus, I'd like to have that issue fixed before next play. This can be done in several ways. I'm definitely going to be more strict with who I let in (those who are here for only a few days aren't really fun in the long run, and just cause disturbances). Also, I'm considering having someone else (like Spark) handling some of the active players in another part of the war. What do you think about this issue?
Also, there's certainly gonna be changes in how the structure of the game is handled. <ul> <li>First, I hope to be able to handle combat better in the next roleplay, meaning that actions by each and every player will be responded personally, like I already did with with certain battles already. <li>Perhaps I might draw a map of the battlefield to get/give more of an overview about what's happening. <li>I will probably renew stats for the players playing, since certain of the aspects of the current players had parts of their description that was hard to translate into in-game effects. This will probably happen by the stat system being defined up front. <li>Things will likely be posted in the roleplay that only affect a few (with the names of those who are affected given in the post). This is for things like only some players hearing some sound. This will have the benefit of less generalization, but will also carry the problem of the players having a harder time to avoid metagaming (if every player KNOWS that a clicking sound was there after one character heard it, will the players of those characters who did not hear it be able to roleplay their characters accordingly). </ul>

<b> I agree with all that you have said, xect. As far as what else is needed, I'd say have each player give you an invintory list, to help curb the "Why I have that right here" syndrome. You can have it as detailed or simple as you'd like. From every little item and scrap of lint or you can have it as loose as say, a mechanics kit or medic bag, where exect decides on a case by case basis as to whether or not you have some thing. I'd recomend a mixture of both. Any thing realy special should be well deatailed, like Ed's gun Wynona. But use the loose model on something like Sparks med bag of herbs and roots.
I'd also have everyone give you a list of skills and then post what skill can and can not do. Especaily the can not part, too many times people have abused the ambiguity of the freestyle RP. If they can't controll them selves, do it for them. If worse comes to worse, you can always 'reassign' characters who are over powered/don't fit, and have them make new ones. I think that's about it.
