    <b> Sorry Revenge, I ment Jaeger, (I should pay better attention to the colour shades) Well, when I first posted the "Every one fire at the Onos" They were all out of immidate range(ie, the skulks and onos were out of melee range). The point was to try and either drop the onos, or cause him to
    retreat. Now we are up to our eyeballs in skulks, AND the onos is hardly scrached. After xcet said that the skulks were among us, I switched to telling every one to start
    fraging skulks, ecept the two shotgunners(read: they have the best anti-onos weapons) and Jaeger.


    I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do. Hey they are your characters. I'm just havent seen any coordination
    in the team, and that get's you dead. I hope you guys don't see this as me trying to take over the game,
    I'm not, but my character is a solid solider, it's what he does and in a fire fight he will do what he can to
    make sure every one comes home alive. So far all I've seen out of this group is a buch of something other
    than soliders. The medics I understand. But, you can take all your black op training and super "I can mod anything on the spot to something better than the best reasearch teams could in six years" and all the other wacky things every one has for themselves, that's what you've chosen for yourselves to make you special. I'm a solider and I am trying to keep you guys alive.

    <b>We're standing in the middle of a turret farm. We have 12(15?) turrets now picking and engaging targets. I'm not going to stand in the middle of a perfectly good farm when I have a lerk to my 9 or my 3 and an onos in front of me without trying to take them down first. Someone's already taking care of the fade, and (I hope) somebody besides myself is trying to nab the lerk. A decent turret farm is designed to overlap fields of fire and engage targets so you don't have to.

    My character fights like a spacer would, approaching capital ships and ranged torpedo platforms first, leaving the deck guns and rearguards to handle the fighters, while clearing a path for the primary strike package to make their hits and go home.

    Five skulks are nothing against those many turrets. Five skulks, a lerk, a fade, and an onos is. Take down the carrier group and the fighters are left without a base of support.

    I'd rather a skulk got too close and leapt into the back of my leg while a nearby turret finished him off than an onos pitch me across the room like a hackysack.</b>

    game of NS, when I see a group of skulks, a lerk, a fade and an Onos, you drop the onos first. He's the biggest threat. He's the one that is going to cause the base to get wrecked, not the skulks, not the lerk. A
    fade COULD wreck an uprotected base, but not a guared one.


    Ok, I'm going to let the subject rest. I'm not trying to badger you guys or anything, but it might sound that
    way to some of you.

    We can discuss this in character later(If we survive that is).


    Sorry for all the OCC posts, guess I should have joined earlier and gotten stuff like this hammerd out.

    <b>Gah.... If I say ANYTHING in character to you, then I am talking to YOUR CHARACTER... My character might think your character is the biggest a-hole on this side of the galaxy, and I personally might think you the the coolest person ever... There was no need to react OOC, this all could have been discussed with in character disucussion during or after the battle (just after the battle would have made more sense).

    As for wanting to take the skulks down first, the way I see it both a skulk and and onos will kill a player in 2 hits. I can pump 100 lmg rounds into an onos and reduce the group's deadliness by (assuming there are 5 skulks) by 17%, or I can pump 20 or so bullets into a skulk and reduce the group's deadliness by 17%... In a game of NS, base assaults involving only 1 onos always work so well because the onos draws all the fire, allowing the smaller aliens to work while the onos itself does very little. The onos is the pinacle of alien weaponry, but it requires all support from all the other types of aliens to work at it's full potential. if you take out the alien war machine's legs first, the body will surely fall too.

    In your example Jaeger, I'd probably focus as much firepower on everything except the carriers, and once the carrier was alone and without support I'd sit back and take it out with relative ease...</b>

    say Revenge, cause you booth used the green colour. I wasen't paying attention to the shades. So, I was
    just trying to explain my mistake to you, not respond to your character OOC. When I saw your character's
    response to mine, I wonderd what was going on(Jaeger had said he was shooting the onos in his last post)
    and I wonderd why you had changed your mind. Then I went and looked back over the posts and realised
    my mistake. Sorry. (Btw, on the servers I play on 1 onos base assault ends up with one VERY dead onos, shorty followed by the rest off the alien team. So that's what I based my strat on.) And no hard feelings
