There's only two kinds of people I find, people that use something very near the default, just one or two keys off, and the people that use the exotic setups, ones that look painful. A friend of mine that plays...CS /me hisses, uses the arrow keys for his movement, the right control for crouch, mouse3 for jump(he would be in trouble if he had a mouse that didn't have a wheel that could push in, or even a wheel on it's own), and an array of other stupid keys for various things; spray logo, reload, drop gun, etc. And, yes, people use control for crouch because it's default, I find it very easy to press with the first knuckle on the actualy pinky(not the one that connects to your hand, for all of you that had problems understanding). It was all very interesting, this whole thread, silly, gave me something to talk about, but nonetheless, silly. <!--emo&:bob:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/bob.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bob:'><!--endemo-->
oh yeah, now thats some really weird setup. But if you can actually play with only the mouse than you have tons of keys you could use for aliases and other bindings. makes you some kind of l33tZ0r if used correctly.
'nother wierd setup I saw but don't know was at a local CS tourney, some clan was using a joystick/keyboard combination, and had it setup so that the joystick was cetered at headlevel 1st shot was almost always a head shot- lame but worked, and really wasn't too much of a "cheat"
