Well the dodgy "Nice boots..." has actually worked for me (once).. made her laugh, and they were nice boots too.
Usually, i don't bother with pick up lines. I let the girls make the first move (most times its the girl who chooses anyhow...)
I do however keep an eye out on who's watching while i'm dancing, and then go get a drink where they can see me and do the subtle eye contact thing... works pretty well.
oh, and if you're a british guy, i've found that your accent will do most of the work with foreign girls.
