<div class="IPBDescription">Sound familiar? Big update :D</div> Re-did the whole top section, touched up the grip, fixed a heap of double faces (manually. it was not pleasant)
only problem is, its horribly high poly. about 1400, and i still have to add the battlesight.

I like it!
I may seriously consider this as a replacement for the pistol if you release this...
i believe we already had that somewhere, but no trigger guard? <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

it does not.
Milkshape 3d - £20
3D Studio Max- £3000ish
For the extra £2980 quid, I would hope it would "own" Milkshape...
just to explain a few points:
there is no trigger gaurd because it has been filed off for quicker trigger access.
the trigger will change, but i wanted to get the idea across. i stole the look from SVI 'cause it is just that cool.
that little bar down the side is just a thing to set the weapon apart a bit more from the DE. it may also change.
there is still quite a bit to be done to the model, in the way of poly reduction and re-shaping. i'm hoping to get it down to about 800, but this may mean doing nasty things like removing unseen faces, but i'd rather do that after the animations are done (i can't animate, mesh or skin, btw)
i'm happy with it for the moment, so it will sit around for a while till i have time to work on it again. thnx for the constructive criticism. if you want it that much i may be motivated to get my **** in gear and get it to skin/animation stage soon-ish.
sifnt hurry yo **** up!
don't make me come over there! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
3dsmax is powerful, but since i can actually use milkshape3d i prefer it
in 3dsmax i can draw a box and thats about it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Its ok if you shoot yourself just one less marine to be eatin' by an onos
Anyway nice model I can't wait to see it skinned and completed keep up the good work
so don't store it by shoving it down your pants - otherwise, one slip and you'll be wishing the Onos eats you ^_^
anyway... that gun, will be my new pwnstick. **leans back in chair**
i've started on skinmesh, but its my first and i suck, so it won't be too good. could use someone to guide/help me. please?
i'd rather have a flashlight than a torch <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Agreed... especially with the filed-off trigger guard, this is clearly a weapon meant to be used quickly and indiscriminantly. Not one you take time to aim through a sight, or take on a slow cautious sweep through a dark room.
