...why?

**warning** rant ahead
(note: this post has no structure, disregard the structurelessness.)
[Background] My dad wants to play internet poker, but he says that he can't because we're on a wireless connection and he times out a lot. He basically just can't deal with lag. He's been complaining to me about this for a while, and I told him that we could just buy a signal booster that would probably fix the problem. He puts this off, and instead calls an IT guy in from work to help him with all this. IT guy runs a virus scan and (surprise surprise, they use AOL) there are a lot of latent viruses there on his computer. Note that the viruses have not done anything but are just sitting there.
<Rant>
Today he comes into my room and tells me to move the wireless router (me and my brother are wired in) over to the other room so he could have it all to himself and I can get the bad wireless connection. He decides to not get the signal booster, but instead **** OVER MY INTERNET. WOW THANKS. WHY do parents claim to have this godliness over everything, even things they don't know about? You would think that he would listen tosomeone who actually knows something about computers, but he completely disregards any of my arguments and just tells me to do it.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH

Please excuse me for wasting this 5 minutes of your life, I needed to vent.

dude.
*cough*
It may seem harsh but meh, during my TFC clanning years when I was on dialup, my dad always seemed to get it into his head that he MUST get on ebay right when I have a clan match and stay on for 2-3 hours just looking at crap...much pent up rage.
It's not as convenient as wireless, but it's more reliable. =)
no matter what birdy goes off line at around 11 o clock.. little does she know that is when all the fun starts....
Shhhhhh
