Can You Run Hl2?
<div class="IPBDescription">Can ya?</div> <a href='http://www.half-life2.org.uk/check.php' target='_blank'>http://www.half-life2.org.uk/check.php</a>
Sorry if it's old, someone just told me that link in an IRC channel. It's not official, so it may not be 100% accurate. I need a better vid card and more ram ;/

Me, either! Ha, suckers!
Step 2. Give an 'Ok' to anyone who runs it.
Step 3. Link to page to preorder HL2...
Step 4. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->?

Graphics : You should be able to play in 1024x768 depending on your card, consider upgrading if you have an older chipset such as GeForce 3 Ti
System Memory: You have enough RAM
Operating System: You will be able to play on Win XP.
Architecture: No Problems
P4 2.6ghz
9800 Pro
512 DDR, <i>probably</i> going to upgrade to 1GB.
As long as I can get a constant 60fps on this machine, I will be happy.
There aren't. I guess they just put it there in case. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
That's probably because they expected most ME users to have wandered off...perhaps into heavy traffic. Or possibly drowned themselves while drinking Sunny D.
Consider yourself lucky, liku. Consider yourself <i>lucky</i>.
everybody just make sure to keep this mentality your entire life, and you'll be A-okay.
^_^
I hope my Ti4600 will be up to the job when the time comes.. shouldn't be too bad.
Chip type. You're 32-bit. 16-bit is old, and 64 bit is not widespread.
The companies that make video cards what you to believe you do. My Geforce4Ti 4200 128 will run HL2 at 1024x768 according to <a href='http://www.half-life2.org.uk/check.php' target='_blank'>http://www.half-life2.org.uk/check.php</a>. I won't be upgrading. By the way, I spent 100 bucks on it only. GG.
Sirus don't upgrade unless you get the game, THEN it sucks. If it runs bad with your curret...then upgrade. These evil corporate thugs make their billions by hyping things. Just upgrade afterwords only if you absolutely have to. I live like that cuz Im poor. But then again a fool and his money are soon parted <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I have:
AMD Athlon 1700+@ 1.56 ghz
512MB RAM
GF4 Ti4200 128MB
I don't plan to upgrade anytime soon though; probably the earliest would be next year; I plan to get the AMD Athlon FX
But yeah, my new 2800+ rig will apparently run HL2 fine <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> which is good as I preordered it on Sunday \o/
Except this onboard piece of !@#$ emachines calls a video card.
Funny thing is, when I first got HL it ran only around 4 to 6 fps on my machine and I didn't even notice <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Ram: 512 stick from Crucial (PC2700)
Vid Card: Chaintech GeForce4 FX5200 (Hell, it runs BF1942 with 53 bots at once, rendering giant battles easily)
OS: WinXP - I love it. Die evil 98SE and your stupid non-seamless linking.
Architecture: 32bit (I think)
plus 3com Gigabit LAN card.
Processor: Your processor is fine.
Graphics : You should be able to play in 1024x768 depending on your card, consider upgrading if you have an older chipset such as GeForce 3 Ti
System Memory: You have enough RAM
Operating System: You will be able to play on Win XP.
Architecture: No Problems
I hope thats all true. I don't even play Half-Life 1 in 1024*768...
I just kinda got used to 800*600.
By the end of September I should have an XP 2600 and a gig of DDR
ram to add to my specs.
Processor: Your processor is fine.
Graphics : You should be able to play in a comfortable resolution such as 800x600, maybie more depending on chipset.
System Memory: You have enough RAM
Operating System: You will be able to play on Win XP.
Architecture: No Problems
I <b>really</b> want to get rid of this Geforce 4 MX...
