<div class="IPBDescription">extra meat for fun</div> this is a little idea that someone must of suggested before but i don't see a topic.

after seeing our hero Barny staring in some maps. i wonder if it's possible to have some barnys and scientists in a map as cannon fodder.

<!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> just thinking there's a lotta maps out where the ship's already infested with aliens, so i thought a map that's still alive would be pretty sweet. with a (starship trooper style) meteor holding the first hive smashs into the base and skulks start speading out, biting their way through windows, vent grids and NPCs as they take over the joint. a bit of the old roleplaying never hurts, i say

going more into the map idea. the marines could be on a plaform type ship on the rescue as this happens and to keep them busy, they can build their defences. tho the moving platform could be hell for buildings (i don't know) so maybe the platform could already be in dock whilst some screens tell the rines how long they're away.

i think i stop there as i've already changed the subject. you guys think it's a good enuff map idea for anyone to take on? cuz i sure as hell can't map that well <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

i havent been able to get scientist in at all, i know it isnt in the list, but if you type monster_scientist he isnt there, btw monster_bullsquid hurts a lot.

damn.. maybe the barny i've seen is a copy that comes with the map. much like reskined monsters in Svan Coop.

maybe copy the sci and reskin him as a addiction to the map?

I think the mapping rules tell us, what ns should be like. there will never be any official map that features this "slaughter"-behaviour of the aliens. another idea: no matter which team reaches a certain spot where an npc is located - the npc turns around, stares, screams and runs away through a door that closes instantly behind it. no real interaction but you keep the rules of ns mapping ^^

monster_barney is one of the few working ones. So its possible to include him in a Ns map, but rather foolish.

Confused

you can also use the marines but killing them will crash the game:)

barney is usefull so you can use scripting for audio because one needs some one to say it.

but please dont put him some where you can get to easily
