I still can't believe Aeris is doing so well, again. I think even the master chief lost to her.

It's like high school class elections.. the most POPULAR character wins, not the 'leetest', or most-skilled at destroying.

I can't believe Zelda herself got so far... I mean, she's just the dumb princess you rescue in the games, not even a playable character... I guess Link and other Nintendo chars have a more long-standing fanbase than Sephiroth and Cloud, etc... I still wonder why FF7 still retains so much popularity... I mean, it truly IS a masterful game, but I don't think ppl gave FF8 enough credit... *ponders*

Thats why console epic games suck, they just keep going and going, without any real firm plot or anything. Zelda unfortunatly has succumb to this, its the same plot every time, nothing really new or a constant story line. Kinda like Mario...and Mega Man....

It's no longer a question of which character is better, but more one of which has less stigma of the thousands of Sephiroth32841926301s on through AOL. Besides... Kefka would whup the living tar out of Sephy.

kefka > all, agreed. I like both sephy and cloud more than link, who won last year... but, like, I'd prefer it if Crono won, or Gordon Freeman... if mario didn't beat crono by a tiny 100 votes, he might have won the whole thing... I'm only voting for sephiroth because I thought cloud had no personality. it may have been deliberate, but still, I'd rather vote for a passionate nihilist than for an apathetic, passive-aggressive dude who has women all over him and makes them all feel like crap. maybe that's why he retains his popularity... geeks who don't expect to get any action in the near future like this character who is cold to women, as women are cold to them =P
