The game will be about Mechs...killing each other. lol
We are currently making the storyline for the game...but the rest seems to be goin ok
I myself have already made 2 models, and a few weapons
If memory serves, HL has a poly limit of 1024.. it simply can't handle more than that on a given player model. Along with that if you're going for that level of detail on all of your content, it'll be quite difficult to get the full models to appear to have the same intricacy, when dealing with a very (by today's standards) low-res engine.

OK, last night i bumped down poly count to 1732....would it be possible to still use that model?
(BTW..in case you were confused, my Mech model is 1732, and that SABRE is 240)
