For soldiers and commanders...
Alright first of all, i have to say this:

IF you are a SOLDIER you HAVE TO LISTEN to your COMMANDER or you CANT win

now that thats out, commanders:

Res early in the game is the main focus, if all the aliens go gorge to drop res, you dont need a whole team in base to build stuff - 2 or 3 people. So send everyone else to go secure res nodes, and you need to put up tfs near the res, or you lose then to gorges bilebombing. The key is to take res away from the aliens so they cant go onos, 5 onos with redempt = death

Your forgetting that putting turrets at every res node will bankrupt you in seconds, not to mention you can't put enough at every node to stop an onos (as they will always, ALWAYS get at least one onos per game unless you rush right away), or even a gorge who bile bombs with regen. That is unless you want to drive your team insane with a PG at every single node you take lmao.

What i want to tell comms is to be wary of placing buildings under vent openings, as lerks and gorges will take advantage of them to kill your outpost with relative immunity.

Aye good points, but it wont eat your res unless you cant hold the res nodes, plus you are killing skulks. Yes, i hate onos, there needs to be a way to kill them without having 5 marines gank.

One HMG from a medium distance will drop an Onos faster than a fly.

You've GOT to be kidding me. Show me the math for this.

There was a 2.0 damage calculator site somewhere, I think the number was that an L3 HMG will kill a non-cara Onos in 29 shots...

That would be nice... what's the RoF for the HMG now anyway?

You can fire off 35 rounds in under 5 seconds, probably. I don't play Marines often, though. Never have.

Dude, it takes 5-7 seconds to unload the entire mag if you don't stop shooting. L3 HMG = 1 pwned pwnos.

5-7 secs...for the entire HMG mag? ...No WONDER I die so fast if I go late-game Onos.

Btw, it's mag, not clip. Clips are for weapons like Garands and the like.

At medium range you will have about 1 second worth of time to fire your hmg at any decent onos before you get stomped and in his belly. Not to mention that stomp takes virtually no skill to use effectivly. The hitbox problems that I have heard that the onos has will also save him a bit of damage from "reflex fireing" (when you first see a onos and instantly open up fire on him even though you dont quite have a bead on him yet).

Yeah... that stomp has a rather horrid range on it.

I wonder if there's a script one could make that automatically suicides you when stomped... I've been thinking about that...

Marines need to keep the comm informed too.

When I send a few people off to scout the hives, I need information. I won't know if there are a dozen OC's with fades and lerks guarding them when I'm dropping medpacks for the guy guarding the locked-down hive.

Also, when I say "I can't understand what you're saying on voicecomm" means just that. Use teamchat if you want to relay important information. Don't garble at me, then vote to eject me when I think you say "I see turrets here." instead of "We need siege turrets here."

When you are fighting 1 hive onos by locking down 2 hives, they cant use stomp and a simple lvl3shotgun rambo can take down an onos by running circles around a structure so the onos can't get him. One time I was comming and an onos marched into my base and started trashign the ip so I dropped myself a shotgun and logged out and the onos died in those 10 shots. another time, the game was practicaly over and there were 2 onos in my base on origin, I dropped a HMG by the armory(lvl3 weapons) it was a long dangerous dash to it I practicaly ran right between the 2 onos to grab the hmg then I spun around and strafed around the back of the armory and blasted the hell out of the onos, The first one went down and the second one redeemed on one clip! so the ips were dead and I was the last guy so I hopped back in the com chair and dropped an ip then got out to build it but a stupid xenocide skulk killed me before i could finish it.

the calculations have to be off... people tell me 9 bullets to kill a skulk.... 29 for an onos...

Somethin is wrong here... not all bullets hit no matter what... and if they do.... well ur god

I KNOW it takes me 25 MINIMUM.. to a whole clip when a skulk is moving

LVL 3 hmg.. takes like the entire clip... only time it works is when the stupid onos has his back to me,,, else im dead long before i even get half the clip off...

Learn where the hitboxes are. AFAIK skulks rear legs are the prime target. If you shoot at its head from the side, you do no damage. Or something. I may not be right. However I do find that by shooting the back legs my kills appear earlier.
