3D view in Hammer Editor is hella slow.
I installed VHE on my new machine, with a GeForce 4 (and up-to-date drivers) and I found, to my dismay, that the OpenGL drawing speed in Hammer is terrible! Its so bad it's effecting the speed and accuracy of my mapping, and the lag is annoying to boot.
I've hunted all over the web for a solution, but nothing has revealed itself... does anybody around here have any suggestions? Thanks.

If anyone here has any hint as to how they can alleviate my suffering with VHE, please feel free.

So, um, go back to your homes, citizens. The people in white coats will take care of the crazy sick man.
hint:
its weird that this problem seemed to start with vhe 3.4 because worlcraft 3.3 is able to perform A WHOLE MAP IN 3D VIEW! so Im using 3.3 of course
Its also nice having all entities in a second vis group for each location, too.
Its not the opengl window thats slow, its the draw-lines windows and switching between windows more.
Having thoose more zoomed in helps on less ram.
Any ram-optimizing program can help you much.
On a fresh booted pc VHE is twice as fast.
