Clips Older Than Monsieurevil And Others Combined!

Treasure trove of history... IN DIVX
I had this link bookmarked for a long time now, although I haven't bothered to really pay attention until today. A quick glance and all you'll think are God knows what kind of AVIs titled by a number. This enormous list of movies are educational videos that were used (perhaps our grandparents were shoved with these). These clips range from the 1960s all the way to the 1900s, (according to the text file at the very bottom: Edison Newsreels: San Francisco Earthquake aftermath] 1906. - This would be 20180.avi
I think one of the more popular ones would be the old "Duck and Cover - 1951" clip. A parody of this clip was made quite a while ago, and most of you probably have see it before (the one using Nintendo characters - this is what eventually led me to this awesome archive.)
Last one I juse finished watching was from the "Adolescent Development Series: Age of Turmoil" - sounds gripping, doesn't it? It's the second from the top. Another fine product from my country, Canada.
I don't know how well known this site is, so... FOR GOD'S SAKE, PLEASE GO EASY ON THE FTP's BANDWITH!!! I would absolutely hate to see this FTP shutdown, (/prays majority of forum goers have little interest of the propaganda fed to our grandparents long ago).
Anyways... enjoy!

(actually, if you snoop around in the directory, you can find better quality clips; the highest they have is VCD format, which makes the file size 20x bigger... )

I done been pwned!
And yes, when I was a kid we practiced duck and cover, and saw movies like these as well. That was back when the commies were poised to annihilate us with 10's of thousands of hydrogen bombs at any moment. The fact that I grew up a few blocks from Great Lakes Naval Base meant I probably would have been turned to vapor as I was under my desk, but we practiced anyways...
All my friends are confused when any CD's I burn for them turn out to have the (somewhat) old Star Wars Gangsta Rap flash movie on them (if they notice, that is). Maybe I'll have to expand the variety of files I do that with.
So, like, 1998?

Well, more like 1989. Although the timeframe I was referring to was more like 1979-1986
I think you'd be much disturbed by the Fallout series... especially that cheerful cartoon mascot.

So cheerful...
I know that this image is of th 40s/50s instead of 80s, but...
