I Have A Question About A Program

<div class="IPBDescription">That I dont even know exists!</div> I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was a program that alerted you on certain days. (Like a message popping up saying "Simpsons Finale Tonight!" -which of course I would have to tell it ahead of time). Kind of like a calender that alerts you....or somthing. Lol, I was just wondering because this would come in handy for me, <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I don't know of one in particular, but you could do a little Googling and probably locate one in short order.

Windows XP might even have something like that already built in...

Not too hard to write... I searched on google and I can't find crap....I found like 1 of them but it cost 20 dollars. Any ideas?

In windows its the 'scheduled tasks'

go to control panel, then 'scheduled tasks'

'add scheduled task'

tell it to run a program, and that program is simpsons.txt on your desktop [you have to actually MAKE a simpsons.txt file on your desktop that includes the text "hey, simpsons is on in 5 minutes, GO GO GO"

then set it to run like every day at 5:55 pm etc =]
