Server Problem

Hi, i've created a game and my friend cannot join because it say that it's a LAN server. I've looked in my config and the LAN server isn't on! Someone know what is the problem?

Are you running a dedicated server or a listen server (You play on the server)?
It seems that the listen servers were defaulted to LAN only. If you are using a listen server, check the config for listen servers instead of the normal server.cfg.

Hi i have the same problem...When my friend try to join my game (Not dedicated)it say that it's a LAN server! I didnt understand what u meent whith:It seems that the listen servers were defaulted to LAN only. when running the server you could try specifying the <b>INTERNET</b> ip of the server like ./hlds_run -game ns -ip 66.218.71.94 for linux or hlds.exe -game ns -ip 66.218.71.94

(note: replace 66.218.71.94 with your server's public/internet ip)

make sure to include the +port as well.

type in console: "sv_lan 0" and tell your friend to join

thats an old problem i think you created a server over the NS ingame menu (multiplayer -> internet games .....) right?
and then he gets a message like this "only for class C networks" right? just set sv_lan to 0 in your listenserver.cfg and it should work fine
