aparently this is the place to come if i have questions, so here i am <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
Ive just downloaded the gameplay vid, NSTR, and read about everything i could find on this game,
and so im just bursting with un-newbified questions
first of all, it says in the mapping guidelines i need nshulls.txt for csg compiling but i dont seem to have that file.. whats the deal there.
Second, how does this in game editing work
the gameplay video of the particle thing looked REALLY COOL but is that in this NSTR or what, and if so how do i bring it up once im in my map testing it
Hmmm let's see what else...
Well i seem to recall having 100 questions but they must have slipped my mind.. uh, if theres anything I should know before I start making NS maps or whatever, feel free to let me know.

    1. Don't worry about the nshulls.txt file yet.  It will be included (and utilized) in the NSTR2 release.

    2. The in-game particle editing is in the NSTR, but doesn't work correctly for everyone.  You can still make particle systems, but it's best to wait until the NSTR2 is released before trying to edit them in-game.  The instructions in the mapping guidelines and in Chromeangel's guide are correct, but the sliders may not work for you.  By the way, the in-game editor is just a way to change all the different variables in the particle system and see the effect real-time.  Once you see the effect you want, you just write down the numbers & settings and enter those in your map's particle entity.

    I cant wait to try out hundreds of wierd particle effects
