Not from my experience. I see silent skulks on MT, and pick them off as they run around the corner, with no pitterpatter of the little claws. Or no clangclangclangclang, depending on the hallway and map.

No, silence does not take you off of motion tracking. Sensory chambers will as long as you are in cloaking range, but silence isn't that cool. =)

silence does NOT remove you from MT, only a sensory that isn't within range of a obs will do that.

That's why you come up behind them...and own the whole squad before they know what happend.

Yup - silence rocks. If you're close to them, you can simply run behind a wall and they won't know which side you're coming out of. Or just run up from behind and chomp chomp chomp. Half the time no one else in the marine group will even notice you chomping their teammates. I've taken down a heavy before because he didn't realize he was getting killed. ok in range of an obs....is this like in the earlier versions where the range of the obs was the entire map?

Just me or do sensories silence your foot steps?
• p4Samwisep4Samwise Join Date: 2002-12-15 Member: 10831Members
No. Sensories make you invisible and undetectable by MT, but not silent.

This is why SC+MC = t3h r0x0r. Having the Silence upgrade and a sensory nearby lets you move about completely undetectably (unless the comm counters with an obs, naturally).

Or the marines use the evil "fire randomly with annoying shotties and hmgs" trick!
