<div class="IPBDescription">Hep meh!</div> ARGGG this stinks!! I dont know...but...bah here is the story.

I downloaded GC mod for bf1942, I think this is what started it. My sound now "cackles" and skips every time I play bf1942. I de-installed all bf1942 files and in my registry. I then downloaded the SWBF1942 demo, just to try things out. (did not install bf1942 again) IT STILL HAPPENS!! Its so freaking annoying! Doesnt happen in NS or any other game! Hep?

Turn of EAX maybe? I know I had taht problem with Ghost recon, try updating your sound drivers and checking to make sure EAX is disabled under game options.

Under sound options try disabling the check box for hardware acceleration or lower the sample rate freq. That fixed all the bf1942 and other mods sound issues that i had.

Also make sure your sound drivers are updated and the game patched.
