Default Light Level

In map properties, how do i set the light levels to what i want without putting a light_environment in to make the whole map dark ?

    You do it in your compile process. Just bounce your lights more, try -bounce 6 or something higher. Also, env_light doesn't light your whole map the way regular light does.

    I think he's trying to use the <i>default light level</i> in the map properties to light his map, but RAD doesn't do anything unless it finds a light entity.

    Default light level is very bad for NS style lighting as it sets a minimum light level for the whole map, meaning you can't get the deep shadows needed for NS's high contrast look.

    ozbirdboy, find a tutorial on texture lights and learn to light your map properly you Nub.
