Charge...

what's it for?
What's charge supposed to be used against? I find in most combat it's simply easier to gore or devour my enemy. Is it against buildings?

It's damage is something like "unimaginable" in the description. Anyone know the actual numbers? Does "unimaginable" mean one-hit kills for any building? If so, I don't see it being used enough...

While charge is active, you deal damage to anything you 'touch', just keep running at some building and you can see its health drop down quick.

Its damage is dealt the same way as skulks' leap damage, at four times the power. if there's a group of marines in a tight area, it'll take them down in no time.

In one charge, (I don't remember if it was with or without adren...) you can take off about half a CC's life....it's useful

That's right. It does huge damage. Just activate it and run in the direction of your intended target and keep looking at it. A normal marine should go down in less than a second.

Biggest trouble with charge is your ability to keep in contact with the person you're charging at - the weapon works like leap. So you may have to move your crosshair all over the screen to touch the person as much as possible.

The best bit about charge is you can make it look like youve killed 4-5 marines with devour, in quick succession, causing lots of confusion.

Exploit? Bug? Dont know, it doesnt really help your effectiveness, whilst charging-

Not really an exploit - wasn't important enough to be addressed as an issue.

I believe it's the issue where the symbol for what you killed with depends on your currently active weapon, not the one you do it with. So you could for example shoot an acid rocket, the switch to metabolize before it hits. Voila, hud shows metabolize kill. Switch to devour while charging and you'll get devour kills. Since this is a purely cosmetic error, it doesn't really matter. It really freaks out those that don't know about it though.

That happened to me. I was an onos and I was attacked a marine and it showed a skull and crossbones. I went to the console and it said I killed him with stomp

Yes you can also leap and then when your in the leap have the xenocide button on. It sure makes the rines confuse if you start getting xenocide kills with 2 hives

hey that sounds like an actual good tactic, kinda like the marine's trick of clicking his empty pistol and asking for ammo to lure out a skulk who he proceeds to shoot dead with a MG =P but back to charge -- so many people swear by it... but even when I line myself up perfectly with a building and charge it, it STILL seems like gore does more damage... I guess I'll experiment more before jumping to conclusions... maybe I just haven't mastered it yet

Also, if you want to get fast building kills stand on them, look down and charge.

Well the thing about charge is while it does a lot of damage, it also makes you move faster. It's harder to hit things but ti also makes you very hard to hit. You can also use it like the Fade's blink. I find charge takes down enemies much quicker but that's assuming there;s more than one or two. It's good against an entire base basically, not just a few marines.
