Hullo! Im A Girl!
<div class="IPBDescription">And I play videogames ^_^!</div> First off, I AM A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!
whats that?
A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, im a girl - and I stumbled upon NS from planethalflife. I've been playing a lot of day of defeat, hanging out with friends and watching aminie ^_^ !!
Last weekend, my brother took me to the mall, and they had all these Bands from Scandinavia and Norway, Sweden and Finland.
At First, I thought they were going to suck, but when one of them played a demo song, I was completely blown away
So I thought I'd share my Discoveries with you all.
In Flames--------- An Electrified Mozart Inspired Group. Very Melodic
Arch Enemy-------- Super Fast Thrash and Screaming Female Band! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Opeth------------- Incredibly Talented Acoustic and Proggressive metal band. (Also very Cute)
If you have a chance, buy one of these guys albums. It's definately an aquired taste, but if you already like this type of music, these bands will Broaden your Horizons
Happy postings ^_^_^_^_^_^_^

With that said, that's not so much a specific comment towards yourself, but more a generalised comment to the entire forums, it seems that everytime there's a girl all the rabid, horny teenagers come out of their closests and try to impress said girl. It becomes a bit of a headache.
Sorry for going on, welcome again! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
EDIT:
Ok, with regards to the bands, melodic death metal has never really been that much my scene, i've always preferred my death metal with the full brutal edge. But if you're into those bands check out Nightwish, Theatre Of Tragedy, Lacuna Coil, Soilwork, Nevermore and stuff like that. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
ill have to do that!

So anyway, hello, welcom to the NS forums, and remember, if smooth jazz begins to play, run as far away as you can.
ill have to do that!

Allow me to go into a little more detail into them:
<li>Nightwish:
Extremely impressive melodic metal with a female vocalist. Absolute gorgeous vocals and the music has a power metal edge to it, good music, technically impressive and some of the songs are so movine (Sleeping Sun, for example). Albums i'd recommend would be either "Wishmaster" or "Oceanborn".
<li>Theatre Of Tragedy:
Dual male / female vocal metal with heavy goth influences, dark and sinister music with fantastic duets of growls and female vocals. I'd recommend picking up "Velvet Darkness They Fear"
<li>Lacuna Coil:
A personal favourite of mine. Again dual male / female vocals playing off against each other perfectly backed by goth metal music. The songs are so moving and beautiful i find myself speachless to describe them at times. A definate buy by Lacuna Coil would be "In A Reverie". Every track is fantastic and the whole album is a metal classic.
<li>Nevermore:
I've never been too big a fan, Nevermore play a slightly unique brand of melodic death metal and power metal and the overall result is agressive but you find yourself singing along. I've not heard everything by them, but i'd definately recommend picking up "Dead Heart In A Dead World".
<li>Soilwork:
Agressive Death Metal with fantastic riffs and melodic guitars accompanied by hateful agressive vocals, Soilwork really stick out in metal for not being entirely different but doing what they do fantastically well. I'd recommend one of their older cds "Chainheart Machine".
You probably play with more girls then you realise.

Beware of their new stuff (Sorry, don't remember the cd names) but they got bad REAL quick, they decided to lighten the music up a bit, add in a bit of analog synth and effects and the songs were just.... poor.
Another band i missed off the list but i think you should check out is:
<li>Samael:
German black metal with a slight spiritual and sci-fi influence, heavy melodic synths backed up with thundering guitars and some fantastic male vocals thrown in for good measure. I'd definately recommend the album "Passage", it's easily their finest work although the newer "Eternal" has some great songs on it, most noteably the track "Together". Their older stuff is delving into the depths of proper black metal, whilst still quite good it's not a patch on the "Passage"-era.
Ah.....the good ol' days
Anyway, welcome to the forums. Be sure to check out <a href='hlmp://66.98.152.54:27015/' target='_blank'>Free SunnyD </a>and <a href='hlmp://64.237.35.206:27015/' target='_blank'>The Lunixmonster </a>. I beleve there is another girl that regularly plays there too.
