<div class="IPBDescription">Post it here</div>what do <u>YOU</u> think is the best song in history? as for me it must be the safety dance, weee, that songs just the best
I've got a list going up to around 150 somewhere around here (as boredom can be quite a strange beast), so I give you my top 11 for no good reason.
11 The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps 10 The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Purple Haze 9 Derek and the Dominos - Layla 8 John Lennon - Imagine 7 Bob Dylan - Like A Rolling Stone 6 The Eagles- Hotel California 5 The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again 4 The Doors - Light My Fire 3 Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven 2 The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever 1 Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
10-4 or so. All The Music From That Computer Game, Tropico 3. Title Song: No One Lives Forever 2. May The Force Be With You (star wars, duh) 1. Duel of the Fates (song during the duel in Episode I)
I doubt I could narrow it down to just one song, but as of right now I'd probably have to say "Parabol/Parabola" by Tool. Yes, I know it's technically 2 tracks, but they go together <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
I'm a heavy metal punk rock ranged kinda guy, so mine is gonna be a bit different.
10. Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal 9. System of a Down - Spiders 8. Metallica - One 7. The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby 6. Incubus - Certain Shade of Green 5. Incubus - Pardon me 4. Papa Roach - M-80 3. Black Sabbath - Crazy Train 2. Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused 1. Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
The music in NS done by <b><span style='color:red'>***Name not enetered for security sake***</span></b> is by far the best ever! <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
(And no playtesters who know say who made it please, we are keeping that under wraps)

I'd have to say <b><i>THE </b></i> best song has to be "Judith" by A Perfect circle. When I heard that the first time, I got goosebumps <!--emo&:0--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'><!--endemo-->
Jean Sibelius, Symphony No. 5 in E Flat Minor, Op. 82. I was nearly asleep when I first heard this. After it had been playing for a minute I was hanging on every note.
I do also like 'Say What You Want' by Texas, that's always near the top of my playlist. Which is pretty good, considering it's about 500 tracks long now (I just save everything into one playlist. WinAmp still opens quite quickly).
No way I can limit this to one band/musician let alone one tune. Any Hans Zimmer or Wim mertens really, also for gaming the best is the command&conquer soundtrack, tis perfect for gaming.
Other than that Faithless, Chicane and Kosheen and any nice trance tunes out there.
At the moment I'm particulary enjoying mauro picotto - Back to cali (push mix) but I think if I have to pick one tune it's delerium ft. Sarah mclachlan - silence. (airscape rmx or album version). I'll regret my choice of tune in 5 mins when I remember something else though D:
10) The Ramones - Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue 9) The Sex Pistols - Anarchy in the UK 8) The Clash - Career Opportunities 7) Bad Brains - Attitude 6) Circle Jerks - Live Fast, Die Young 5) TSOL - Abolish Government 4) Black Flag - Rise Above or Gimme Gimme Gimme 3) Minor Threat - Straight Edge or Filler 2) Dead Kennedys - I Am The Owl 1) Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia
Well, I'm impressed... not that many Heavy Metal people hear, seems that its just a Quaker thing. By the way, no I'm not a quaker, just occasionally. Anyway, back on topic (or should be off topic considering the forum?) I'm more into the the Power Metal stuff, so I will say among the best songs of all times:
Blind Guardian - Imaginations From The Other Side Iced Earth - Dante's Inferno Dope - Die M****rf****r Die POD - School of Hard Knocks Blind Guardian - And Then There Was Silence Demons And Wizards - Gallows Pole
Well, guess that's enough for now, could go for hours though...

I loved the feel of the original C&C's soundtrack. Sure, there were some tracks that were really odd (what's a 90's R&B song and a slow, soft jazz tune doing in a war simulator?), but Act on Instinct is such a classic. A lot of the other songs were really cool, too.
